Our trip was planned with the intent to first shoot up to the north west of Okinawa upon landing so we could slowly make our way back down south for departure. We felt this strategy would work best so we wouldn't tire ourselves out too much with a long drive back to the airport.
Below is our itinerary covering our general day to day during our stay in Okinawa from Jan 17-22, 2023 -
Day 1 – Arrival
We land near noon, grab our bags, and head off by bus to the car rental, before driving off to the Makishi public market for a stroll and lunch to stretch our legs a bit before heading north to check in to the Ala Mahaina Condo hotel. Evening dinner at a nearby local cuisine restaurant before turning in.

Day 2 – Road Trip to Kouri Island
Drive off to Kouri Shrimp for some lunch, then Heart Rock in the early afternoon and Kouri Big Bridge on the way back. Final stop by the Okinawa Aquarium to cap off the day.

Day 3 – West Central Okinawa
Brunch and Coffee at Starbuck's before visiting Cape Manzamo's Elephant Rock in the early afternoon. Hunt for late lunch taco rice before switching to a new hotel, Kafuu Resort Fuchaku Condo Hotel. Explored the hotel beach house and sandy beach at sundown for some amazing photos. Evening run off to American Village for some grub and ice cream.

Day 4 – West Central Okinawa Ct'd
Morning wrong turn in to Maeganeku port, but enjoyed a great view. Found correct way to Doka Doka for lunch and tea. Early afternoon, quick trek through Cave Okinawa and visit to Kamimura Sake Brewery. Afternoon snack at rest stop Onna no Eki, sundown evening drinks and dinner back at the hotel.

Day 5 – Making Way Back Down South
Visit Yomitan Pottery Village at noon, baby clothes shopping at Nishimatsuya Chatan Mihama and then Naminoue-gu Shrine in the afternoon. Evening dinner enjoyed back in Naha city at a nice spanish bar/restaurant, beber spice bar.
