At 6 month's old, we decided we were up for the challenge of taking our baby Bond somewhere out of the country that would be relatively easy-going and without too much challenge for his first ever trip. A few factors steered us to choose Okinawa .. as it turns out it's ideal for a number of reasons: it's a super family friendly destination that is not only a short 1.5 hr flight away from Taipei, but offers quite a bit of fun and leisurely activities for a few days' retreat.

But being so young still, we did have a few concerns on our mind that we had to first work through to decide whether or not to actually do it. In the end, some mindfulness in mitigating the concerns helped make our trip much more enjoyable and stress free to create loads of new memories

This trip, as written, was made during Okinawa's usual down season in January where there would be few crowds, with the weather cool and comfortable.
